It ticks me off when someone tells me 'what they are doing is not 'powerplaying.'' I try not to be to picky because everyone has their flaws and it does happen sometimes. But if I call you on powerplaying or god-moding and you deny that it is just that, then we will have a problem. Make sure you read each definition, and if I do say something about it, don't whine.
Powerplaying and God-Moding
Powerplaying
Powerplaying is a roleplay term used to describe a situation where one person is controlling the actions of another person's character without permission. "Myst bit Keara and watched the wound bleed." is powerplaying, because Myst's roleplayer cannot say that Keara is bleeding.
God-Moding
God-Moding can also be seen as powerplaying in certain situations. When a character in an impossible scenario suddenly defeats all enemies. Having limitless powers, ignoring flaws and realities or instantly healing is God-Moding. It's when you portray your character as an all-powerful, unbeatable, super strong, perfect character.
Now. There are some instances where these things can be accepted i.e. in PRP/public when the other player knows what is happening, to speed through an event (again with the other person's knowledge)
